विश्व पर्यावास दिवस
विश्व पर्यावास दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष अक्टूबर माह के प्रथम सोमवार को मनाया जाता है आधिकारिक तौर पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने इसे वर्ष 1986 में प्रथम बार मनाया इसको मनाने का उद्देश्य हमारे शहरों एवं कस्बों की स्थिति का पता करना तथा आश्रय हेतु पर्याप्त मानव अधिकार की आवश्यकता की पूर्ति सुनिश्चित करना है साथी इसका उद्देश्य भविष्य की पीढ़ियों के आश्रय हेतु संयुक्त रूप से किए जाने वाले प्रयासों को जोड़ना है
पर्यावास स्क्रॉल ऑफ ऑनर
पर्यावास स्क्रॉल ऑफ ऑनर पुरस्कार संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा आयोजित ह्यूमन सेटलमेंट प्रोग्राम (UNHSP) के तहत वर्ष 1989 से दिया जा रहा है यह पुरस्कार मानव पर्यावास की दिशा में किए जानेवाले उल्लेखनीय योगदान हेतु दिया जाता है।
