महेन्द्र
महेन्द्र, सम्राट अशोक के पुत्र थे जिन्होंने अपनी बहन संघमित्रा के साथ श्रीलंका जाकर बौद्ध धर्म का प्रचार का प्रचार किया। उनकी माँ का नाम देवी था।
Transcription:Ye ima dipa paṭamaya idiya agatana Iḍika-[tera-Ma] hida-teraha tube
Translation:This is the stdpa of the elder Iḍika and the elder Mahinda, who came to this Island by its foremost good fortune.
